Our Overarching Question for 2022-23 is…

Over the past couple of years, we’ve witnessed an increase in apathy and feelings of helplessness amongst the youth in our studios as well as in our greater community. At Revel we want to empower our learners to take action and combat the feelings of powerlessness.

Inspired by our friends at the Forest School in Georgia, we have chosen the above quote as the foundation for the 2022-23 school year as we question our actions and values, discuss our personal goals, and spark a love for community service. Who are we becoming? How are we showing up? What are our obligations to ourself and others? How and why must we act now?

Our younger studios will tackle the question, “If not now, when?” as it applies to procrastination, taking on the next challenge, and standing up for what is right, even when it is hard.

After identifying personal passions, extensive research, and visits from Change Makers, Exploration and Launchpad studios will choose a cause or organization to help and actively “be the change.” This may take the form of volunteer hours, awareness campaigns, or fundraising and will require a full-year commitment with SMART goals and an action plan.

It’s going to be a life-changing year!
